Standing With Women on Mother's Day, May 10
Dream of a world that shares love, honour and respect.
Share your dreams; network with others.
Connect with mothers, grandmothers and mother earth, filling it with
positive energy.
Create actions that promote peace, joy, love, laughter, health.
Communicate. Encourage and motivate others to dream, connect and act
along with you.
Model the behaviours for others to follow.
I am a multimedia artist for peace who believes in
the power of words, sounds and images. I encourage the networking of
artists, to bring forward and share their peace perspectives. My dream
is that everyone lives a life that they can truly be proud of. Peace is
not just an absence of violence or war. Among other things, it also
involves a progress towards health, a reduction of poverty and
environmental sustainability I encourage the recognition of human rights
for all and actively work on many facets of peace. I will stand alone
and I will stand with others.
Along with many other women of the world who dream
with me, (see Standing Women.org),
I will be standing for the world's children and grandchildren and for
the seven generations beyond them.
We dream of a world where all of our children have
safe drinking water, clean air to breathe and enough food to eat.
A world where they have access to basic education to develop their minds
and healthcare to nurture their growing bodies.
A world where they have a warm, safe and loving place to call home.
A world where they don't live in fear of violence—in their home, in
their neighbourhood, in their school or in their world.
This is the world of which we dream. This is the cause for which we
stand.
I will be standing by my garden sign.

Use creativity as a tool for peace.

Do not worry. Let all negativity dissolve.
I will be focusing on the value that
women who shaped me—women who came
before me—provided.
I will honour them and all of the positive contributions that they
offered to help provide a safe neighbourhood for me and other
neighbourhood children to grow up in.
Too often, people focus on what wasn't done for them.
A large number of people had nothing nice to say about their mothers.
When the term "mother" is not part of the foundation of society, will it
be able to survive? It is a "mother" who takes the time to reflect
on the teaching of values. Are we moving to a valueless society?
I will be focusing on the many priceless, yet unpaid services that these
women provided.
I Will Always be With You - a poem for
mothers.
I use lilies to symbolize my respect for them.
I have put lilies on my online profile and encourage others to do the
same.
Use your own, or use any of the
Lily Icons to adorn your images
to offer your respect.
