| Bruce Hunter lives in Stratford, Ontario
where he is an active speaker, educator, and author. Born and raised
in Calgary, much of Bruce's roots is embedded between his book
covers: Selected Canadian Rifles, Benchmark, The
Beekeeper's Daughter, Country Music Country, Coming Home from
Home. Poems from Coming Home from Home were chosen for the 1995
People's Choice Awards and short listed for the 1997 CBC/Saturday
Night Literary Awards. In 2000, the book was chosen as one of
the People's Choices top ten picks in poetry books. Bruce was 2004 CAA guest speaker in
Edmonton; 2002 Banff Writer-in-Residence, and the English and
General Education instructor at Seneca College in
Toronto, and has taught Creative Writing at York University and the
Banff School of Fine Arts. He was poetry and poetry reviews editor
for Cross-Canada Writers' Quarterly ,1981–1985. Bruce
is putting final touches to a upcoming novel,
