| Born in Vancouver, Glen Sorestad is a well
known poet, former teacher, founding president and former publisher
of Thistledown Press. Glen has lived in Saskatoon since 1967.
Glen received the Life Member of the League of Canadian Poets, was
the first appointed Poet Laureate of Saskatchewan (2000), and
awarded the Queen's Golden Jubilee Medal (2003). His poetry has
appeared in literary magazines and anthologies throughout North
America and Europe; his short stories have been published, broadcast
on radio and television. He has over a dozen books and
chapbooks of poetry; most recent titles include Grasses &
Gravestones, Dreaming My Grandfather's Dreams, Leaving
Holds Me Here. Glen has read his poetry throughout Canada,
the United States, France, Norway, Finland, and Slovenia. |
